Hi, My name is Kirsty. I am a single mum living in Edwlton. My daughter is Honey. She is 12 years old and lives with me half of the week. We have a small, very friendly dog called Teddy. Honey is 12 and she enjoys spending time with the students and learning about their country and language.

Built in 2021 my house is 3 bedrooms and a 25 minute ride into the city centre. The bus stop is literally 30 seconds walk away. West Bridgford town centre is 10 minutes on the bus. Your bedroom has a bunkbed so room for 2 to share.

First day activity together
Included in the price the Host will do something with the Student Guest. There are no restrictions not to have the Host do the same things week after week. Typical activities are: day out with the family, visit to town, shopping, cooking..
Full board accommodation, with packed lunch (like sandwich, fruit and water) is included. Here are listed the types of diet we eat at home and that we would provide without extra charges. In general we eat traditional but also international food, breakfast is light and dinner our main meal. Your packed lunch will include one or two sandwiches, please let me know over the phone what you would like.

The host was very welcoming and available. The first day we went to see the workplace and the town. I had a beautiful experience! She is very nice and funny!

My host mum, Kirsty, was incredibly kind, welcoming and always available whenever we needed help. From the very beginning, she made us feel comfortable and at home. On our first day, she accompanied us to show us where our workplace was, which was really helpful and made everything much easier for us. She also helped us understand which buses to take to get around Nottingham, making sure we could travel safely and independently. Throughout the whole week, she was always attentive to our needs and did everything she could to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Whenever we had questions or needed something, she was always there to help us with kindness and patience. I really appreciated how much she cared about us and how she made us feel welcome in her home. Thanks to her, our experience was much more enjoyable and stress-free. I’m truly grateful to Kirsty for her kindness, availability and support throughout the week. She made us feel at home even though we were far away from our families, and I will always remember her as an important part of this wonderful experience.
